Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how PDFflash (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you visit our website and use our tools. It is written to support transparency requirements for programmes such as Google AdSense and general privacy expectations.

1. Summary

2. Information we may collect

2.1 Data you send to us directly. If you contact us by email or a form, we receive whatever you choose to send (for example your email address and message content).

2.2 Automatically collected data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers (if enabled) may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, and timestamps. Google AdSense may collect or process data as described in Google’s policies.

2.3 Files you convert. For tools that run entirely in JavaScript in your browser, files typically are not uploaded to PDFflash. Do not use the site if you cannot verify that behaviour on the specific tool page.

4. How we use information

5. Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on legitimate interests (operating the site, security, fraud prevention), consent (where required for cookies/ads), and legal obligation where applicable.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For Ad personalisation, visit Google Ad Settings. Industry opt-outs include the DAAs WebChoices tool (US).

7. California residents (CCPA/CPRA summary)

We do not “sell” personal information in the traditional sense. Advertising cookies may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You may use browser controls and the links above to limit certain uses. You may request disclosure or deletion of personal information we hold (if any) by contacting us using the method you publish on your About page.

8. Children’s privacy

The site is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required by your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us so we can delete it.

9. Third-party services

We may load scripts or assets from third parties (for example Google Fonts, CDN-hosted JavaScript libraries, Google AdSense). Those services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to read Google’s Privacy Policy.

10. Retention

Server logs and messages you send us are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Consent choices may be stored in local storage on your device until you clear them.

11. International transfers

If you access the site from outside the country where servers are located, data may be processed in other countries. Google’s infrastructure may involve transfers described in Google’s policies.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.

13. Contact

For privacy requests, data access or deletion enquiries, and other questions about this policy, email contact@pdfflash.tech. We will respond within a reasonable time where required by law.
